Visiting Bray & Bloom
Farm Guidelines & What to Expect
Bray & Bloom is a private working farm and photography venue. To help ensure every visit runs smoothly and everyone enjoys their time on the property, we ask all guests to review the guidelines below before arriving for their session.
Before Your Visit
To help protect the farm, animals, and seasonal plantings, all guests and photographers are expected to follow the property guidelines outlined below. Bray & Bloom reserves the right to pause or end a session if these guidelines are not respected.
Arrival & Parking
Please plan to arrive about five minutes before your scheduled reservation time. Sessions are scheduled back-to-back, and arriving on time ensures you can enjoy the full experience you reserved.
Easy on-site parking is available, with a paved driveway and designated parking area that provide smooth, convenient access for visitors.
Your session begins at your scheduled time, and late arrivals will only have the remaining portion of their reservation available. Because other sessions may follow yours, we are unable to extend time for late arrivals.
Private Property & Reservations
Bray & Bloom is a private, reservation-only venue and is not open for public visits.
Your reservation includes private access to the specific area you selected — either The Fields or The Farmstead — during your scheduled session time.
For safety and privacy reasons, the following areas are not included in reservations:
• the residence and backyard
• the dahlia garden
• the pool area
• the interior of the barn
• all fenced pastures and paddock areas
While your reserved space is private during your scheduled time, there may occasionally be brief transition periods as one session ends and another begins.
Photography & Session Information
Session reservations provide access to the property but do not include a photographer.
If you do not have a photographer, feel free to reach out for recommendations of photographers familiar with the farm.
Photographers are responsible for posing, lighting, and creative direction during the session. If you have property-related questions while visiting, someone will be available to assist.
If you anticipate needing additional time, we recommend booking extra time in advance. Session extensions are rarely available on the day of your reservation unless the following time slot happens to be open.
Animals on the Farm
Bray & Bloom is home to donkeys, a mini horse, corgis, chickens, guineas and other farm animals.
Guests with Farmstead reservations are welcome to enjoy and photograph the donkeys and horse from outside the fenced pasture areas. Even from the fence line, their personalities create beautiful and natural moments.
You may also see our free-ranging guineas throughout the property. Please do not chase, corner, attempt to catch, or pick up the guineas. One member of our flock, Kevin, has a previous leg injury and walks with a limp, making her slower and more vulnerable than the others. While she may seem easier to approach, please do not attempt to touch or handle her, as chasing or handling causes unnecessary stress.
Please do not open the chicken coop or poultry enclosures for any reason. Chickens may not be removed, handled, or chased without Bray & Bloom guidance and permission.
For the safety and health of our animals:
• Do not open gates, unlatch closures, or enter enclosed animal areas unless directed by Bray & Bloom staff
• Do not feed the donkeys or horse, including handfuls of grass, treats, or any outside food. Our donkeys and horse are on carefully managed diets, and avoiding hand feeding helps prevent nipping habits and keeps interactions safe for everyone
• Interact calmly and respectfully
As with any farm animal, unexpected movement, sounds, or reactions are always possible. Guests should maintain awareness and avoid sudden movements, loud noises, or behavior that may startle animals.
Bray & Bloom reserves the right to pause or end animal interactions if unsafe behavior occurs.
Children on the Property
Children are welcome at Bray & Bloom but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
As a working farm, the property includes uneven terrain, fences, animals, and natural elements that require awareness and care.
Farm Terrain & Footwear
Bray & Bloom is a working outdoor environment and some areas may have uneven or rough ground.
Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended for all visitors. Going barefoot anywhere on the property is discouraged for safety and comfort.
Closed-toe shoes also provide protection from insects, small wildlife, and other elements naturally present on a farm.
Guests should remain aware of their surroundings, including uneven ground, insects, wildlife, and naturally occurring farm hazards such as holes, roots, mud, and thorny vegetation.
The Flower Meadow
The flower meadow includes a designated photo path that allows guests to photograph among the blooms while protecting the plantings.
When photographing in the meadow, guests are asked to remain within this path so seasonal flowers are not stepped on or damaged. This helps ensure the meadow remains beautiful and available for everyone throughout the season.
Specialty flower beds and raised planting areas are for display and farm production only. Please do not pick, cut, harvest, or step into planted beds unless specifically invited to do so as part of an organized farm experience.
Props, Furniture & Property Care
Light, temporary adjustments to small props or seating are welcome with care.
Please do not move heavy items, structures, or décor without prior approval.
Several prop stations around the property include items available for guest use. If you use a prop during your session, please return it to its station when finished so the next guests can enjoy it as well.
To help maintain the beauty, safety, and longevity of the farm:
• Please do not pick flowers or plants
• Please remain within designated paths and photo aisles when photographing near planted areas
• Return props to their stations after use
• Leave the space as you found it for the next guests
• Do not drive vehicles onto grass, field, or garden areas unless instructed by a Bray & Bloom representative
• Please do not climb, sit, stand, or hang on gates, fencing, or pasture enclosures
• Farm equipment, including tractors, is not a photo prop and may not be touched, climbed on, or used during sessions
• The cedar tree swing, bed swing, and tire swing are photography props designed for gentle seated use only
• No aggressive swinging, twisting, jumping, or rough play on any swing
• The tire swing is intended for children and small adults only
Food, Drinks & Personal Items
Guests are welcome to bring snacks or beverages to enjoy during their visit.
Please keep food away from the animals and dispose of any trash in the appropriate receptacles before leaving.
Please do not leave food, drinks, or trash unattended anywhere on the property, as it may attract animals or wildlife.
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Bray & Bloom is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Prohibited Items
To protect the farm, animals, and surrounding environment, the following items are not allowed anywhere on the property:
• confetti
• glitter
• smoke bombs
• fireworks
• sparklers
• open flames
Smoking, vaping, and alcohol are also prohibited anywhere on the property.
Outside pets are not permitted.
Rural Surroundings
Bray & Bloom is located in a rural area surrounded by private properties and farmland. At times, guests may hear intermittent loud noises, including distant gunfire from nearby properties or local shooting ranges. These sounds may occur for extended periods and can be unexpected for those unfamiliar with rural settings.
Guests who are sensitive to loud or sudden noises should take this into consideration when planning their visit.
Reservations are not eligible for refunds or early termination due to conditions outside of our control, including environmental noise.
Weather & Rescheduling
Sessions continue in most weather conditions unless severe or unsafe conditions occur.
If the forecast includes heavy rain, strong winds, or unsafe conditions, we will work together to reschedule your session for another date or adjust the timing if availability allows.
Weather-related reschedules are always penalty-free.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Sessions may be canceled up to 72 hours in advance without additional fees.
Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied toward a future session if rescheduled within 30 days.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled session (for reasons other than severe weather) may result in forfeiture of the deposit, and the full session fee may be charged if the time slot cannot be filled.
Remaining balances are due by the start of your session.
Accessibility
The farm includes a paved driveway and designated parking areas that make arrival easier for guests with limited mobility. However, as a working farm, some areas include uneven terrain and may not be fully accessible. Guests with accessibility needs are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can help plan the best experience possible.
Additional Information
At this time, Bray & Bloom does not have a public restroom available on site.
Cornland Park, located just up the road, offers portable restroom facilities if needed before arriving for your session.
Hand sanitizer is available near the parking area.
Security cameras are positioned throughout the property to help maintain the safety and security of guests, animals, and farm equipment.
Release of Liability
A completed liability waiver is required for each participant prior to arrival. Please ensure all guests have submitted their waiver before entering the property.
Thank You for Respecting the Farm
By visiting the farm, guests agree to follow these guidelines and respect the working farm environment.
Thank you for helping us care for this space so it can be enjoyed by everyone who visits.
